The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating forklifts with a focus on warehouse procedures and safety. Specifically, this candidate would have experience on one or more of the following forklifts: Dockstocker, Reach Truck, Order Picker (with wire guide experience), Turret (with wire guide experience). The Forklift operator will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are performed efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of quality.ResponsibilitiesPick all orders in a safe, accurate, and methodical manner. You may put away products, relocate pallets, cancel, and inspect orders.Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.Use an Order Picker or Dock Stocker Forklift to place or remove large items on warehouse shelvesPackage and label items for shipmentKeep track of shipments and product relocations within the warehouseMay use the forklift with a work platform to elevate workers so they can check inventoryFollow all safety regulationsAssist with other tasks as needed, including loading and unloading delivery trucksRequirementsAt least 1 year experience operating an Order Picker, Dock Stocker, or Turret - we hire for all roles - candidates without specific order picker, dock stocker, or turret experience will not be considered for this role.Knowledge of proper forklift safety skills and techniques.Basic math and reading comprehension skills.Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment.Team player with strong communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Forklift certification preferred but not mandatory.Shifts and Pay:1st Shift - Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm - $18.00 p/h2nd Shift - Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 10:30pm OR 3pm-11pm - $19.00 p/h3rd Shift - Sunday - Thursday 10:30pm-6:30am $19.50 p/hWeekend - Fri-Sun 5:30am-5:30pm $20-21.00 p/hSAFETY SHOES ARE REQUIRED FOR THESE POSITIONS30 Minute break for 8 hour shifts.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftEvening shiftNight shiftWeekend ShiftAbility to Commute:Plainfield, IN 46168 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Plainfield, IN 46168: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
