As an Independent Mental Health Therapist, you will provide compassionate and effective psychotherapy and counseling services to clients managing mental health challenges.

Mental Health Therapist-Outpatient Counselor

Provides clinical assessment and clinical treatment to all patients presented to the Bryan Counseling Center or our affiliates utilizing appropriate individual treatments inclusive of individual, family and group therapy to address identified patient needs. updates treatment plans according to regulatory requirements and as appropriate to provide optimum outpatient care.

Independently provides individual, group and family therapy as needed to address patient treatment needs in person or by telehealth; Completes documentation and billing in a timely manner in accordance with Medical Center guidelines and all relevant HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission and other oversight and regulatory requirements. (provides community-based, developmentally appropriate, and culturally competent care to all patients.

Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

(Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.

Knowledge of Family Systems Theory including cultural diversity and the impact of chronic illness and disability.

Knowledge of personal computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to job functions.

Knowledge of telehealth practices, procedures and equipment.

Skill in the practice of psychosocial assessment, focused interventions and facilitating group therapy.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff.

Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.

Masters degree in Professional Counseling or other degree leading to licensure as a mental health practitioner required. Active license in the State of Nebraska as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) required.
