In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.We are looking for an Order Packer - Large Parcel to join our Talley team in Carlstadt, NJ!

Summary: The Order Packer Large Parcel - Talley position is an advanced position within the Operations department. In this role, you will be responsible for packing customer orders, internal material transfers, and vendor claims in accordance with Talley's established procedures, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements. Your depth of previous experience in this occupation carries with it an expectation that you will be able to perform all duties listed below with a high level of production, accuracy, and efficiency.

Perform a final quality check to verify that the orders/transfers/vendor claims provided to the packing area are 100% accurate in line with the order requirements

Input data entry to accurately document the items and quantities included in each packing transaction

Prepare and package all outbound orders carefully to ensure the merchandise is sufficiently protected from in-transit loss or damage

Apply packaging labels / attach packing lists and stage completed orders for shipment manifest

Assist in the training of new packing staff and other less experienced packers

Conduct packing supply inventory checks and ensure that stock levels of packing supplies are maintained

Displays strong work ethic and honesty and adheres to all company policies and procedures

The ability to competently perform all the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, demonstrate commitment to effective customer service delivery, integrity, and the ability to work productively as a member of a team or work group are basic requirements of all positions at Rexel USA.

5+ years in a similar position / parallel working environment utilizing a handheld barcode scanner and desktop PC applications

~ Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Constantly at least 51%

Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly at least 51%

Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally up to 20%

Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally up to 20%

Exposed to electrical hazards; risk of electrical shock - Frequently 21% to 50%

Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - Frequently 21% to 50%
