Contract | Days | Full-Time | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout an assigned shift
Prescribe and implement nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and informed by patient and family input
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across applicable age groups
Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff in accordance with their clinical competence and legal scope of practice
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS, HS-BLS, or RQI BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS, HS-ACLS, or RQI ACLS) certification required at time of hire
Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia interpretation required during orientation
EPIC EMR experience required; Cerner experience within the last 5 years also required
Each position in work history must include the charting system used; if multiple EMR systems were used in a single role, dates clarifying usage of each system must be provided
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Prior acute care facility experience in a stepdown or PCU setting
Previous experience as a direct employee or successful completion of a prior travel or contract assignment
