Job Title: LPN/LVN Profession: LPN/LVN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active TX RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have: - BLS Description: The unit has 35 beds and 11 staff members. This includes 1 charge nurse, 6 registered nurses, 3 patient care technicians, and 1 unit clerk during day shift. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 6 registered nurses, and 3 patient care technicians. Equipment used includes computer on wheels, Hospira pumps, and IMOBILE phones. The electronic medical record system is MEDITECH. Bariatric Certification - Med/Surg Certification - Ortho Certification - ACLS Typical procedures performed on the unit include: - Bariatric procedures such as gastric bypass and gastric sleeves - Orthopedic surgeries including total hip replacements and total knee replacements - General surgery such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic appendectomies The ideal candidate should be a team player with a positive attitude. Attendance policies include working 4 weekend shifts in a schedule or 2 full weekends. Weekend night shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Weekend day shifts are Saturday and Sunday.
