Temporary Registered Dental Hygienist

This position is assigned to the Health Services Manager B to perform Dental Hygiene five days a week in the Daytona Beach Dental Clinic. The dental hygienist will be responsible for maintaining the dental preventive care and dental health education program. The hygienist will engage in educating and treating patients presenting to the dental programs, and provide oral health care to members of the community. This position requires close interaction between patients, the dentist, and other dental staff. The hygienist must be competent in hygiene functions to include dental prophylaxis, dental sealants, dental xrays, and perio maintanence. The hygienist may be required to travel between Dental offices (Orange City and Daytona Beach). Dental Hygiene License and Certification in Basic Life Support.
Skilled in placing dental sealants, Scaling and root planning and skilled in working independently.

Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the positions
Must possess a Florida Dental Hygiene License
Experience with pediatric patients, Sterilizing instruments,exposes dental x-rays, instructing patients in oral hygiene instuctions
Requires an understanding of the dental operations, understand compliance and quality requirements related to the provision of dental care services and demonstrated success working with the dentist.
