Electrician (Void Property)

Stable and secure long-term contract working locally on Housing Association void properties, carrying out electrical works to bring properties up to standard between tenants.

At ECS, we're a multi-award-winning compliance and maintenance team working across social housing, public sector sites, and commercial properties. You will also be supported by an apprentice, providing additional resource while helping to develop the next generation of electrical talent. For candidates who have practical experience carrying out EICRs but do not yet hold the official 2391 qualification, we will fund additional training to help you achieve the 2391 certification, supporting your continued professional development and progression.

38,000 to £40,000 DOE , plus benefits and a company vehicle (your mobile workshop)

• Be part of a team delivering essential works across local communities
• A varied role — not just testing, but upgrades, rewires, and property turnaround works
• Work in void social housing properties, where your impact is immediate and visible
• Carrying out a range of electrical works within void properties, preparing homes for reoccupation

Conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) across residential properties

Diagnosing and repairing faults (C1s and C2s) — not just identifying issues, but resolving them on-site

Issuing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and ensuring full compliance with regulations

Managing your own schedule across sites within a local radius

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation

• Desirable - Inspection & Testing certification (2391 / 2394 / 2395 / 2391-52 or EAL equivalent)
• Proven experience in social housing, voids, or similar environments
