Now Hiring: Piano Teacher – Castro Valley School of Music

Are you a passionate piano teacher who believes music lessons should be both fun and meaningful? Do you enjoy helping students reach their potential—whether they dream of playing Beethoven, Billy Joel, or BTS? About Us: Castro Valley School of Music is a dynamic, community-rooted music school offering private and group instruction tailored to each student’s interests, goals, and learning style. Our teachers are professional, encouraging, and truly love what they do—and it shows!

We’re looking for a dedicated Piano Instructor to join our team. This is a part-time, in-person position for private lessons. You’ll teach students ranging from young beginners to advanced teens and adult hobbyists.

The Piano Instructor will provide engaging, individualized piano instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. Candidates should be confident working with both children and adults in a fun, structured, and musically enriching environment.

Teach private piano lessons in-studio

Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities

Proficient in piano performance and pedagogy (degree in music is a plus)

Prior teaching experience with children and/or teens preferred

Ability to teach various styles (classical, pop, jazz, etc.) Reliable transportation and availability on weekday afternoons and/or Saturdays

Enthusiastic, warm, and student-focused teaching style
