The role involves cleaning and maintaining production equipment and machinery while ensuring all manufacturing floors are free of debris and hazards. The Custodian Manufacturing is responsible for the disposal of waste materials according to safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, and providing support for sustainability initiatives within the facility.
Keeping equipment clean and operational is critical for production efficiency.
Ensuring cleaning supplies are available helps maintain the facility's cleanliness.
Routine inspections prevent larger maintenance issues from arising.
Emergency clean-up is necessary to maintain operations.
Cleaning to 5S standards is key to efficient production workflows.
Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, etc.
Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, extractors, and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis get help if needed.
Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds. Launder cleaning dust mops.
Maintain outer premises by, cleaning entrances/front lot and back lot of building docking areas of trash and debris.
High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

1-3 years Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. (Understanding of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment. (Familiarity with safety and hazardous materials handling. (Understanding of cleaning chemicals and products.
