Are you an experienced fundraising professional with a strong background in grant writing, public speaking, and building meaningful relationships? If so, Eastcastle Place would love to welcome you as our next Director of Philanthropy.

For over 140 years, Eastcastle Place has proudly served older adults, offering a continuum of care that promotes active and fulfilling lifestyles while respecting the dignity and independence of each resident. As a nonprofit organization, philanthropy plays an essential role in advancing our mission.

The Director of Philanthropy will lead our fundraising and development efforts, with an emphasis on grant writing, donor cultivation, public speaking, and community engagement. Enjoy researching funding opportunities and developing persuasive grant proposals.

Have a passion for supporting older adults and strengthening the community.

Are comfortable making fundraising requests and representing an organization publicly.

Research funding opportunities and write, submit, and manage grant proposals.

Lead fundraising initiatives, including annual campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and donor solicitations.

Cultivate relationships with donors, residents, families, foundations, and community partners.

Represent Eastcastle Place through public speaking, presentations, donor meetings, and community events.

Identify new funding sources and develop strategies to grow philanthropic support.

Plan and coordinate fundraising events, donor appreciation activities, and promotional materials.

Oversee the Treasure Chest program in partnership with the resident committee.

Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board Development Committee on fundraising strategies.

Maintain donor records, gift acknowledgments, and fundraising reports.

Participate in the rotating Director-on-Call schedule, generally four weekends per year, with additional coverage as needed.

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

5+ years of experience in fundraising, philanthropy, nonprofit development, or a related field.

Professional grant-writing experience, with proven success

Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Experience with fundraising strategies and donor cultivation.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Experience working with seniors or older adults, particularly in senior living or non-profit

Experience with major gifts, planned giving, and annual fundraising campaigns.

Experience collaborating with nonprofit boards or development committees.
