Job DescriptionThis position requires you to have a state phlebotomy license. Phlebotomist II Territory - Riverside, CA, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Ensure accurate specimen collection, patient identification, and adherence to testing protocols to support high-quality laboratory results. Work independently with a consistently low error rate and handle more complex collections and patient/client situations. Demonstrate the Quest 5Cs- Customer First, Care, Collaboration, Curiosity, and Continuous Improvement in all interactions to uphold service and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesSpecimen Collection & ProcessingPerform specimen collections following established procedures for a variety of tests, including but not limited to venipuncture and capillary draws. Handle some difficult draws, including pediatric, geriatric, and hard sticks with minimal error.Perform data entry as necessary.Prepare specimens for transport and testing, including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and storage as required by test order.Patient Experience & Customer ServiceIndependently resolves routine patient and client concerns and escalates non-routine issues appropriately.Perform accurate data entry for patient registration, test order entry, and billing information.Communicate collection procedures clearly and address patient questions.Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming collection environment.Site Support and TravelProvide coverage across PSC and Client Offices within the assigned territory with minimal notice.Ensure that daily activities of the office are completed accurately and on timeMaintain reliable transportation and meet travel expectations for the role including having a valid driver license, and clean driving record, if applicable.Operations & ComplianceObtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.Follow departmental policies, procedures, safety protocols, and compliance standards, including confidentiality of patient information.Support routine administrative tasks including supply stocking, sanitizing, maintaining logs, filing, email use, and answering phones.Complete all training and maintain current phlebotomy skills and knowledge.QualificationsRequired Work Experience:Two years of phlebotomy experience required.Preferred Work Experience:Customer service in a retail or service environment.up to 40 lbs occasionally (with assistance as needed).Extensive use of phone and computer; frequently communicating in English with patients and clients.Knowledge:Strong knowledge of phlebotomy best practices and more complex collection practices, including pediatric and geriatric draws.paced setting, with minimal on–site supervision.Experienced phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.Keyboard/data entry experience.Required:High School diploma or equivalent.Travel up to 75%Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA, and LA.English RequiredPreferred:Phlebotomy accredited program, medical assistant or paramedic training.California, Nevada, Washington and Louisiana) (Required)Professional medical certification strongly desired (medical assistant, phlebotomy, or similar) (Preferred)Work RequirementsTravel RequiredQualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for Employment in accordance with the following laws if applicable, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, the Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, and the California Fair Chance Act.Quest believes that conviction records may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship to the following job duties: accessing company property, information, assets, and products including sensitive information; accessing customer data or confidential information, and partnering and regularly working with or supervising other Quest employees and interacting with Quest customers.About the TeamQuest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
