Legal Counsel | Investment Management | Chicago
I’m working with a leading global investment management firm looking to add a Legal Counsel to its Legal & Compliance team in Chicago.
This is a hands-on role for an attorney who enjoys the combination of commercial contracts, legal operations and process management. You’ll work closely with senior members of the legal team and stakeholders across the business, taking ownership of both legal work and the detail required to keep a sophisticated legal function running effectively.
Review, negotiate and manage a range of commercial contracts
Maintain and administer the firm’s contract management systems and processes
Help improve legal processes, workflows and documentation
Partner with Legal & Compliance colleagues on broader projects and initiatives across the firm
Take ownership of both substantive legal matters and the administrative and process-driven work required to support the team
JD with 2+ years of relevant legal experience
Background within investment management, financial services or a law firm preferred
Strong commercial contracting and negotiation skills
