CNA - Nursing Home, Full Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.

Job Summary Provide routine nursing care in accordance with our established polices and procedures, and as may be directed by the unit charge nurse, director of nursing or Director of Staff Development to assure that the highest degree of quality patient care can be maintained at all times.

Perform all assigned duties in accordance with our established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures, and our safety rules and regulations.

Verify the identification of a patient before administering treatment, serving food, etc., Assist patients with dental and mouth care. Assist in preparing patients for meals, taking to/from dining room, serving trays, placing clothes protector, assisting in feeding or cutting foods, assist patients in identifying food arrangements, i.e. informing blind patients of where food is located on the tray, assures that patient\'s food is accessible and self-help devices are available, records patient\'s food intake as directed, performs after meal care as required.

Serve extra nourishment in accordance with established nursing care procedures. Serve drinking water as required. Assures that water pitchers are cleaned and filled with fresh drinking water daily.

Bathe patients as assigned and in accordance with our established nursing care procedures. (Encourage showers and other self-help measures/activities.)

and keeps patients’ personal articles off the floor and properly stored. Follow infection control procedures, as established by this facility, when isolation techniques are necessary.

Report all accident/incident, regardless of how minor, and all hazardous conditions and equipment to the charge nurse immediately. Attend and participates in in-service educational programs, on-the-job training programs, etc., Ensure that patient’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage a complaint, are well established and maintained at all times.

Maintain Confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information to assure patient rights are protected.

Required Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Must have a valid and current certification to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant

One-year experience as a CNA desirable, however, new graduates are also welcome to apply!

Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and capable of working three consecutive days with one day off during the week, which may vary.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and work harmoniously with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

Additional hourly differential pay provided.
