In our plants around the world, we're constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You will bridge the gap between future program planning and plant-floor execution, ensuring that labor allocations are lean, data-driven, and optimized for world-class manufacturing.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3-6 Industrial Engineers. Program Planning & Labor Assessment: Oversee the review of future vehicle programs to determine labor impacts. Work with cross-functional teams to assess new program content, complete labor allocations, and conduct time studies.
Operational Design: Ensure cycle line layouts are accurately configured to show all required work content, equipment, and parts in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) teams.
Confidently present data-backed justifications for labor needs and challenge product assumptions to drive leaner manufacturing behaviors.
Transformation: Support the evolution of IE methodologies. Work with Digital Transformation and standards teams to define and implement a new workflows.
Plant Integration: Partner with assembly plants to manage temporary labor needs and respond to change requests on current programs, ensuring a seamless transition from program launch to steady-state operations.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial OR Electrical preferred).
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is a plus).
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to "speak with data" to justify complex labor requirements.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% to assembly plants and global sites.
Digital Savvy: Experience with Power BI, data visualization, or advanced data analytics to streamline reporting and integration.
