After many wonderful years serving our community, Dr. Kaufman has retired to enjoy a well-earned next chapter. We're now looking for new veterinarians to join our team and help us continue building on the legacy of compassionate, high-quality care that Dr. helped create. Our AHAA Accredited facility is designed to handle a wide range of caseload needs. Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and preventive care in a welcoming and supportive environment. We have a complete in-house lab, and all digital radiographs. We also offer AI assisted dictation tools to help you move through your cases efficiently and reduce record keeping time. We have a new Mindray Vetus E7 Ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscopy for advanced imaging, minimally invasive procedures and diagnostic capabilities.

We offer urgent care/emergency for those patients that need to be transferred or admitted.

Our hospital provides a 3-6 month Mentorship Program tailored for those just starting out. Eastern Animal Hospital places a high priority on work-life balance. We provide flexible scheduling to meet the needs of our doctors and staff. Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.

Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.

Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.

Maintain patients’ medical records.

Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.

Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
