Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry care. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients within a hospital setting in Globe, Arizona. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and continuous monitoring of telemetry patients, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
The nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, managing a diverse patient population requiring acute and sub-acute care. Flexibility to float to other units as needed is a key requirement for this position, contributing to the overall efficiency and patient care delivery of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop, and implement individualized care plans.
Administer medications, perform treatments, and manage wound care according to physician orders and hospital policies.
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients, promptly reporting changes to the medical team.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float to other units as required by patient census and facility needs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting.
Ability to provide comprehensive care to adult patients.
Willingness to float to other units as needed.
