Remote Senior Tax Preparer

We are looking for an experienced, high energy, high-impact Senior Tax Accountant, Indirect Tax , toassistwith all indirect tax matters, including U.Sales and Use tax, and global VAT/GST, to support the company’s rapid growth. The role will touch various aspects of the global indirect tax function including compliance and reporting, and general tax operations. Reporting to the Director, Indirect Tax, the Senior Tax Accountant, Indirect Tax will play a key role inbuilding outa world-class tax function.

It is essential that the candidate hasstrong communication,organizationand project management skills and the ability to work well independently as well as acrossthe accountingand finance functions.

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) - New York, NY

Provide support for the global indirect tax compliance process, including preparation of tax workpapers and calculationsrequiredfor the preparation and filing of all U.Sales and Use tax, VAT, and GST returns, working with external providers as needed

Coordinate tax payments to various governmental entities

Provide support for the month and quarter end close process, including recording indirect tax entries, and preparing indirect tax account reconciliations and roll forwards

Provide support for the indirect tax contingency calculations and reconciliationsin accordance withASC 450

Support and implement continuous process improvements to improve efficiencies and performance; and ensure indirect tax-related processes/internal controls arein accordance withSOX

Maintain andmonitorthe tax calendar to ensuretimelyfiling of all U.Sales and Use tax, VAT/GST, gross receipts tax, and other indirect tax filings

Provide support for indirect tax audits including the preparation of responses to inquiries from tax authorities

Handle indirect tax notices received from taxing authorities by reviewing and analyzing notices todeterminerequired actions and deadlines

Stay apprised of the evolving Global tax landscape, including research and analysis of evolving tax laws, rates, and regulatory changes

Assistin special projects and performadditionalduties asrequired

Establish strong working relationships with other Tax, Accounting, Finance,FinTechand other cross-functional partners in support of indirect tax related matters, as well as external service providers

3+ years of related indirect tax experience, including at a big 4 public accounting firm

Exposure to both US Sales and Use tax and Global VAT/GST, a plus

Bachelor’s degree with a CPA (or actively pursuing)

Strong foundationof indirect tax compliance experience

with a desire to learn new areas of the global tax law and business
