Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Physician Hospitalist to join an established Hospital Medicine team in Auburn, California.

ICU Model: Hybrid/Open ICU; Hospitalists/Nocturnists manage ICU after 5 PM including critical care and procedures

Census: 10-14 patients per Hospitalist on average

admissions during day shifts; ~2 weekends/month

Specialty Support: 24/7 General Surgery & Orthopedics; Cardiology on-call 24/7 with 2 hours daily rounding; Nephrology; Tele-Neurology (24/7); Tele-Psychiatry; Urology (occasional); PMA consults 7 AM-5 PM

Scheduling Structure (Static + Step-1 Data)

Schedule Type: Flexible scheduling (based on clinician's preferences)

Nights: Covered by Nocturnists

Base guarantee $323,930 with productivity and quality components (see below)

Quality Bonus: $25,000

Sign-On (Commencement) Bonus: $100,000 total - $50,000 at start + $50,000 at 12 months

Relocation Assistance: Up to $20,000

Differentials: $40/hour night shift differential; moonlighting differential available

Board Certified/Eligible in Hospital Medicine (e.g., Strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and team-based practice

Comfortable practicing in a Hybrid/Open ICU environment

Open to FM-trained candidates with demonstrated ICU comfort

Valid medical licensure in the State of California prior to starting
