The Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse. The emergency room treats all age groups, including patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, and respiratory illness. Special equipment utilized includes the Belmont in trauma, Giraffe warmer for neonates, rapid infuser, and Lucas for cardiac arrests. Every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled. This role may involve managing diverse patient conditions, including trauma and medical emergencies. Preferred experience includes Charge Nurse duties and working in a Level II Trauma Center. Skills in managing ventilated patients, arterial line management, and administering emergency medications are vital. Knowledge of infection control practices and the interpretation of arterial blood gases is required. The role entails close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
