Senior Electrical Designer
We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Designer in our office to help us achieve our company mission. This person will be part of the Power & Controls team, which is responsible for developing designs for electrical, instrument and control systems and performing a variety of computer-based design, engineering, and planning tasks on projects. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.
Provides instrument and electrical designs for multi-discipline projects.
Resolves coordination conflicts effectively, negotiating win-win solutions to multi-discipline project design issues.
Uses vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, determine physical space requirements, and provide information to other departments.
The Senior Electrical Designer ensures accuracy, completeness, and consistency in the work produced in concert with project team objectives and customer expectations.
The Senior Electrical Designer creates drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Graduation from a two-year technical college with specialized training in computer-aided mechanical, electrical, or architectural drafting and design.

• 11 years of related work experience including preparing construction documents in a multi-discipline engineering environment demonstrating a progressive increase in responsibility and technical difficulty of work.
• Develops technical and leadership skills through independent self-development, formal training and on-the-job opportunities
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
