Registered Nurse Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler choice) Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in high acuity postpartum care License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: High Risk Obstetric care experience; EPIC experience Description: Perm candidates from any other facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Travelers with at least 2 years of experience in high acuity postpartum care are accepted. Required experience includes handling postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy, and the administration of Pitocin. Epic experience is mandatory; Weekend coverage requires a commitment to work 6 weekend days per contract. The unit is characterized by a large volume and high census of diverse patients, with many being high-risk obstetric patients. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Social Services, among others. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities.
