Under minimal supervision, plans, organizes and implements social work treatment for clients and families. In addition develops and implements community services. Provides intervention to meet those needs utilizing personal, family and community resources. Provides crisis intervention, brief therapy, case consultation and collaboration services. Mobile Crisis Services is a unique Denver Health Service provided in the community~
Provides dual clinician response, within 60 minutes of the dispatch, for mental health support/evaluation/resource & referral.
Outcome usually results in stabilization/safety planning in place, Lyft coordination to Denver Metro Walk-in Crisis Center for further evaluation, or Paramedic/Ambulance coordination to Hospital for further evaluation.
Clinicians work remote from home, and occasionally gather at Denver Health as needed for meetings, trainings, etc.
a Licensed Clinician to take our weekly Friday night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM; and two (2) additional 12-hour shifts, as a ‘FLOATER’. If no one is currently on PTO, then we’d work together to find a shift that works best for you and Mobile.
Evaluates emotional components, impact of health issues and assists client to identify strengths, dysfunctional factors and to establish detailed and coordinated treatment plans. Demonstrates leadership in facilitating multidisciplinary communications and patient care meetings (i.e. care conference & rounds) and utilizes information to assess and reassess care needs. Demonstrates and educates staff as to the scope and function of the social work role in the health care team. Ensures patient involvement in goal setting with informed consent documented. Complies with applicable laws and educates other staff as to legal issues related to social work practice and/or issues specific to the unit/service. Prepares and submits data and information to CSW in a timely manner. Charting is legible, thorough, timely, and content reflects established qualitative standards. Activity codes and time allotments are supported by the content of patient record charting. Reports are filed in a timely manner to assure inclusion in statistical reports. (Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of the principles of growth and development over the life span, as well as demonstrating the ability to assess data reflecting the patient’s status and interpreting appropriate cultural information of the patient(s) to whom care/ services is being delivered/provided. Demonstrates knowledge of major concepts, principles and theories of normal and abnormal human development, its application to specific age groups and establishes a working differential diagnosis. Utilizes knowledge of patient populations’ cultural, religious, ethnic, and social systems in interactions, care planning and education. Utilizes working knowledge of medical terms, abbreviations, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis and demonstrates this knowledge verbally and in writing. Educates patients and their systems regarding risk factors for psychosocial functioning, including but not limited to wellness and health promotion. (Demonstrates willingness to enter into learning in the utilization of supervision. Recognizes growth needs and seeks opportunities to enhance learning/skills. Participates in staff meetings, group supervision (staff development) and assigned task groups and applies knowledge of groups and their tasks through appropriate participation. (Provides orientation, reviews new employee manual and educates as to rules, and standards effecting performance, prior to intern providing care. Utilizes supervision to address learning needs, concerns and practice issues. Promotes positive interpersonal (customer) relationships with fellow employees, physicians, patients and visitors. Adheres to, complies with and demonstrates support for the mission and values of Denver Health. Supports and adheres to the Denver Health Dozen. (Ensures confidentiality of patient information by creating and maintaining a secure and trusting environment by not sharing information learned on the job, except when necessary in the performance of the job responsibilities or to improve a patient’s care. (Work Experience :
~ Typically, two years of full time post Masters Degree social work practice under the supervision of a licensed or equivalently qualified social worker or other DORA approved professional practitioner.

LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW State Licensing Board Required or
LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor - LPC State Licensing Board Required

Knowledge of crisis intervention and brief and long term therapy processes.
Knowledge of patient populations’ cultural, religious, ethnic, and social systems in interactions, care planning and education.
Knowledge of medical terms, abbreviations, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis and demonstrates this knowledge verbally and in writing.
Skill in providing care appropriate to the age of the patients served within the unit.
Ability to respond to trauma or psychiatric emergency.
