Position Overview

As a Material Handler, you’re a member of an assigned production crew, reporting to the Plant Warehouse Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility. The Findlay plant is a high-volume, fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12‑hour days; 4 days on/4 days off; rotating days to nights every 4 weeks. Typical shift starts at 6:30 AM/PM.

Your Key Responsibilities

Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies, including food safety, personal protective equipment, and emergency procedures.

Operate forklift and coordinate products including raw materials, scrap, finished goods, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies.

Effectively communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and customers.

Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications.

Build positive relationships across the designated team by collaborating and communicating while upholding ethical integrity.

Required Experience & Skills

High School Diploma or education equivalent.

1 year of work experience in an industrial environment.

Preferred Experience & Skills

3 or more years of operation and maintenance of forklift.

Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste management.

Experience using JD Edwards, AS900, or a similar warehouse or ERP system.

Physical Environment & Working Conditions

May be subject to all of the following, but not limited to:

Hot/Cold working conditions.

Loud/noisy environment.

Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.

Climbing (stairs, catwalks, and other equipment as necessary).

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $27.37/hour

Eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

Onsite work environment: this position is based in Findlay, OH and requires regular in‑person engagement.
