Hourly Rate
$The Shores Restaurant Server serves meals to patrons in the restaurant and consistently provides professional, attentive, genuinely friendly service.
This seasonal employment is expected to conclude on October 16, 2026.
Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and bars.
Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
Follows all policies for the responsible service of alcohol.
Requests identification from customers when legal age is questionable.
Totals bill, processes and accepts payment in form of cash, credit card or membership signature.
Ladles soup, tosses salads, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by particular restaurant practices.
Must obtain and maintain a current San Diego County Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
The Server has a great impact on how restaurant guests and patrons perceive their dining experience. A genuinely friendly, attentive, knowledgeable server can help ensure that the guest is satisfied with his/her food selection and is eager to return.

Ability to effectively present information in to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must have the ability to communicate fluently in English.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, burns from hot equipment and lacerations from sharp objects. Employees in this position interact daily with managers, supervisors, service and kitchen personnel, and customers. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated, as much as possible to be fair to everyone.
