Full Time Preschool Teacher - Lead Position

Martin's Preschool is seeking a full-time 4K lead teacher.

Martin's Preschool director and the church rector, a full-time Lead Teacher will provide quality care to children, creating a safe and engaging place for them to learn and play. Teachers will also partner with families to help and support them as they navigate the early childhood years. They will create and implement appropriate schedules and lesson plans in accordance with the policies of St. Martin's Preschool.

+ Responsibilities Oversee and manage daily classroom operations in accordance with the St. Martin's Preschool Handbook and DSS Licensing Requirements

Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times

Provide a positive, nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom for children

Update parents/guardians on children's activities and discuss children's development and behavior with them

Martin's Preschool

Feed and diaper children as necessary

Clean and sterilize toys and equipment daily

Complete DSS required training each year

+ Personal Qualities Self-motivated

Flexible

High school diploma or equivalent

6 months experience in a licensed child care facility as a lead teacher required (1 year preferred)

Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

Will consider a Preschool CDA or Preschool 1 and 2 credentials

Job Type: Full-time

+ Generous holiday pay (2-week winter break, 1-week Spring Break and major holidays)

Salary from $16 per hour
