We are recruiting a Senior R&D Engineer to join our Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) delivery catheter team. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing development team that provides solutions to patients suffering from aortic valve disease.
The individual who fills this role will play an important part in the design, development, and testing of TAVI delivery catheters from early clinical feasibility through commercialization. The candidate will be responsible for providing engineering expertise in its creation and the development of this class 3 medical device product in this desirable technology space. Research, develop, design, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment.
Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
Review or coordinate vendor activities to support development.
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Work with internal departments and outside vendors to obtain prototype parts.
Under the guidance from a core team project plan, generate design improvement concepts to meet specific design goals.
Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bio-Medical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• 6+ years' experience in an engineering environment (i.e. manufacturing, R&D, or lab setting environment).
• Demonstrated experience writing test methods, model development and identifying potential issues with designs.
• Experience using Solidworks.
• Experience in statistical analysis (basic statistics, ANOVA, and design of experiments).
• Experience in new product development with successful design from concept to commercialization.
