Join Our Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse - Outpatient!
Job Description:
- Provide exceptional quality nursing care to patients from birth to elderly.
- Serve as a vital member of the nursing staff, embracing your scope of practice.
- Respect and uphold patient rights and dignity in all interactions.
- Collaborate with Health Aides to ensure rooms are stocked and check-lists are complete.
- Assist in ordering medical supplies to maintain smooth operations.
- Support mid-levels in the clinic after hours, screening calls over the phone.
- Apply age-specific considerations and embrace cultural diversity in patient care.
- Immerse yourself in the mission of providing comprehensive healthcare services.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited LPN or LVN school.
- Must possess a valid LPN license in the State of Alaska in good standing.
- Minimum Experience: New graduates welcome; one year of hospital experience preferred.
- Certifications:
- Current CPR certification (BCLS) required.
- IV certification course preferred.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to thrive in a patient care setting.
- Understanding of the unique needs of psychiatric patients.
- Proficient with office machines (multi-line telephones, computers, copy machines) and medical equipment (dynamapp, thermometer, etc.).
