Shift Material Handler - Warehouse

Follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved; moves material in warehouse and other areas as needed; loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand; performs basic warehouse work and mail handling; packages and loads materials; counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled.

Records material moves in computer system; performs shipping data entry into computer system; Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers; installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

Unpackages parts for receiving and performs login/receiving data entry in the system.

Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

Manages and organizes storage areas as needed.

Completes required quality core classes and uses skills and techniques presented. Must adhere to our Quality System. Adheres to company/customer safety procedures.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and have a good driving record; must be qualified to operate a lift truck.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Outstanding people and communication skills for interaction with other team members, customers, and management.

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.

Pay Range: $17.82-$22.78 USD per hour.
