Maintenance Assistant
Full Time
Day shift (includes every other weekend)
The Gilbert Residence provides basic nursing care to 32 residents. Supportive Living, Assisted Living and Specialized Dementia care to 40 residents. We are a 5 Star facility rated by CMS and have a long tradition of excellence by providing compassionate and dignified care.
The Maintenance Assistant performs maintenance and custodial operations in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner.
Inspect all work order logs for immediate repairs & planned repairs
Perform floor care, minor repairs, furniture moving, resident room preparation, painting, trash removal, laundry transportation, etc. (Create & maintain a safe atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis.
Attend & participate in annual facility in-service training programs as scheduled (i.e. Follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment & supplies at all times.
Ensure that supplies, equipment, etc. Be sure that appropriate medical waste is disposed of in accordance with our facility's established procedures
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience in maintenance/plant related position.
Has knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators as well as various mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems.
Knowledgeable in building codes & safety regulations.
