Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holidays every other or as needed per unit needs
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed CVICU with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, caring for open heart, complex thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
Support and monitor patients on advanced hemodynamic devices including Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
Titrate vasoactive and critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Independently read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips without the support of monitor technicians
Manage and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen devices
Float to all inpatient units as needed, excluding Maternity and NICU
Required Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of experience with CVICU or equivalent cardiovascular critical care patient population
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to independently titrate critical care drips and interpret cardiac rhythms
Must comply with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
Must successfully pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience caring for patients post cardiac surgery, including lytic cases, carotid procedures, TAVR/TCAR, Fempop, and EVAR/Endo AAA
Familiarity with complex cases originating from cath lab, structural heart programs, EP lab, and emergency settings
Experience working in a unit supported by in-house hospitalist and intensivist coverage 24/7
