Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will bring their expertise in surgical procedures and patient care to provide high-quality support in a variety of surgical specialties.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the operating room environment.
Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective surgical procedures.
Be involved in a variety of surgical cases, including General, GYN, Urology, Robotics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Eyes, and Trauma.
Participate in the preparation of the operating room and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols throughout the surgical process.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation related to surgical procedures.
Schedule
Monday: 8-hour day shift.
Remaining shifts will be determined during orientation.
Requires rotation through 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday on-call duties.
Floating to endoscopy may be necessary on rare occasions.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience is required; 5 years is preferred.
Active Alaska nursing license.
Certification in BLS, PALS, and ACLS is required.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Demonstrated reliability and professionalism in patient care.
Additional Information
Free housing provided for one occupant, though pet units are not available.
Must have reliable transportation.
All orientation sessions are billable hours.
Payroll processed on a weekly basis.
