WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A FOOD RUNNER

Carry the order in hand or on a tray to the table and serve the plates to the customer
Assist chefs with expediting orders, including assembly, garnishing, and inspecting the food dishes for quality and visual appeal
Read the food ticket, pick up plates, and organize them in hand or on a tray for delivery to the tables
Remove dirty plates, glasses, and utensils from tables and deliver them to the dishwashing station
Notify the expediter of other tables ready to be served
Replenish the stations with product and supplies including hot water, brewed coffee beans, tea, milk, utensils, plates, bread, butter, jellies, and other garnishes and condiments
Break down and clean work area, store perishable products, clean equipment and supplies, and restock to end-of-day par levels
