Senior Human Resources Generalist Evening

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sr HR Coordinator to join our team! This position will be responsible for the daily support of multiple administrative and operational functions. Primary responsibilities will be backup and administrative support to Human Resources department, with additional administrative duties as assigned.
Kansas City is home to one of Stryten Energy’s key industrial battery plants where our seasoned team is building stored energy solutions that keep the world moving. The position is located in Kansas City, KS and requires you to be on‑site daily. We take care of our 210 employees and hold several company‑sponsored events throughout the year, including lunch and learns, company picnics, and holiday parties.
Responsible for monitoring local, state and federal laws and regulations for changes that impact the site.
Collaborate with HQ HR team to execute changes as needed to stay in compliance.
Identify areas of improvement within the HR Function and lead projects to implement new processes.
Lead new employee recruiting and onboarding process: pre‑screen applications, request background checks, prepare and process new hire paperwork, conduct new hire orientations, and other related tasks as needed.
Engage in the development of hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring plant employees for improved performance.
Facilitate 30, 60, and 90‑day reviews for hourly operation employees.
Act as backup for Human Resources Manager, exercising discretion and independent judgment with employee related matters.
Perform entries, updates, and status changes of employee information in the HRIS and timekeeping systems.
Support management staff in accomplishing their business goals by assisting with various reports from the HRIS and analytics tools.
Maintain attendance records for all hourly employees. Own the coordination and execution of employee engagement events and special meetings such as volunteer opportunities and celebrating service anniversaries.
Provide general HR information to all employees based on established practices and procedures.
Coordinate with staffing agencies for placement of temporary employees as needed.
Assist with various administrative tasks and management support as needed and assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study required.
2-4 Years Human Resources experience as an administrator or general support.
must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word).
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
Must be able to multi‑task, handle multiple projects simultaneously, easily adapt to changing situations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
While most work will be performed in an office setting, occasional time may be required in the manufacturing facility, where additional exposure is likely.
Noise levels in the manufacturing facility are usually high.
Must be available to meet with employees who work on 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts as needed.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
