Direct Support Professional I Full Time- Flex Shift

Job Description Harris Hands Community Services, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professionals (Drivers and NonDrivers) for our Without Walls Day Habilitation Program. The ideal candidate must be reliable and maintain a positive and professional attitude while fostering a supportive environment, and enjoy supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. They must document provided services accurately and efficiently, and utilize computer skills to enter data into the online database system (Therap).
High School Diploma or G.Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van, with three years experience driving a van
Must be creative, a team player, flexible, have conflict resolution skills, and be able to complete paperwork on time
Must be willing and able to work overtime if and when necessary

Strong reliability and compassionate approach to care
Effective reading and writing skills for documentation
Proficiency in computer usage to manage program records
May have to lift more than 15lbs and may have to provide post toileting assistance to adults when necessary.

Monday to Friday

• Mandatory overtime for supplemental day habilitation when/if necessary
• 1 Saturday a month for meetings/trainings

There is no overnight shift available. Employees may be asked to work mandatory overtime. Job Type: Full-time
