Radiation therapists implement plans of treatment prescribed by an oncologist and created by a medical dosimetrist. Radiation therapists use accelerators and ionizing-radiation producing equipment to treat diseases, primarily different kinds of cancer. It can also be used to prevent the recurrence of particularly malignant forms of cancer after they have been removed during surgery.
This is a part time position. Provide therapeutic and patient care services to deliver radiation therapy as prescribed by a physician.
Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist.
Monitor and document patient's condition, report any adverse reactions.
Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator.
Board certified Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), R.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Experience with radiation oncology, specific electronic medical records, recording and verifying.
Experience with external radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT simulation.

Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Ability to lift materials weighing up to 35 lbs. Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions.
Safe Operating Procedure for x-ray generating equipment.
Ability to float to other CCHS facilities when needed.
