Legal Counsel at Law

Our client, a growing and dynamic organization based in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced and strategic General Legal Counsel to serve as the company’s chief legal advisor. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing all legal matters, mitigating risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting executive leadership in driving business objectives. The General Counsel will act as a trusted partner across the organization, providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.

***Serve as the primary legal advisor to executive leadership on a wide range of matters including corporate governance, contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance, and risk management

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including vendor, customer, partnership, and licensing contracts
• Develop and implement legal strategies that align with overall business objectives and growth initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures
• Provide guidance on employment-related matters, including policies, investigations, and dispute resolution
• Oversee litigation and manage relationships with external counsel as needed
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Operations to provide proactive legal support across the organization Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• 8+ years of legal experience, with a combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a practical, solutions-oriented manner
• Prior experience as in-house counsel or General Counsel
• Base $300k plus performance-based bonuses.
