Civil Estimator | Commercial Paving, Concrete & Sitework Location: Greater Chicago Area, IL
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are partnering with an established commercial paving and site construction contractor in the Chicagoland area to hire an experienced Civil Estimator .

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in commercial asphalt paving, concrete, and sitework who enjoys developing competitive bids and working closely with project teams to ensure successful execution.
Review civil drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements for commercial paving, concrete, and sitework projects.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, grading, excavation, and related site improvements.
Develop accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, field operations, and vendors to align estimates with actual construction requirements.
Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
Previous estimating experience with a commercial paving, concrete, civil construction, or sitework contractor.
Strong understanding of asphalt paving, concrete installation, grading, excavation, and site preparation.
Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Knowledge of labor productivity, material pricing, equipment costs, and subcontractor coordination.
