Evening Housekeeping/Janitorial Cleaning

Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service by greeting guests and responding to their concerns and questions, helping guests with any request.

Maintain a high level of professionalism in all aspects of job performance.

Listen and respond thoughtfully to guest requests or complaints and follow up with a supervisor when required.

Provide information to guests about the hotel and services offered.

Deliver clean laundry to the guest rooms.

Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and deep cleaning projects.

Restock and organize room attendant closets with linens, amenities, and guest supplies.

Remove dirty linens and trash from room attendants’ carts throughout the day and bring them to designated areas.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of floor closets and ice machine areas.

Respond to requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies in a timely and efficient manner.

Clean public areas of the hotel, including windows, sweeping, garbage removal, vacuuming floors, and carpet in common areas.

Dust shelves, ledges, and furniture in all common areas.

Clean all common area restrooms—lobby, water stations, spa, pool.

Report maintenance problems, lost and found articles, and special room issues via Alice.

Monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimizing waste within all areas of housekeeping.

Assist with cleaning and shampooing of guest room carpets and corridor carpets.

Provide basic shoe shine service.

Assist in managing stock inventory and inform superiors when stock is running low.

Work closely with supervisors/coordinators in running guest supplies inventory, tracking extra beds and baby cots, updating special items sent to rooms.

Assist housekeeping attendants when needed in topping up amenities and arranging special room setups.

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.

Assist room attendants with stripping vacant rooms, including soiled linen, terry, dirty glassware, and trash as needed at the discretion of management or supervisor.

Clean elevator car and tracks, including interior and exterior of service and guest elevators.

Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture, clean ashtrays.

Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as necessary.

Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.

Report necessary maintenance items.

Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Maintain all brand and quality luxury service standards.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including wearing appropriate PPE.

Comply with hotel security, fire, health, and safety regulations.

Maintain all housekeeping areas organized and well presented.

Set up and organize closet space with designated supplies and equipment.

Restock work areas for the next shift as assigned.

Replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the shift.

Report any faulty equipment, maintenance needs, safety hazards, or other problems immediately to your supervisor.

High school graduate or equivalent; Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury environment preferred.

Knowledge of housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.

Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Successfully complete the training and certification process for this position.

Ability to multitask efficiently without disrupting guest service.

Rate of pay: $29.00 per hour.
