Healthcare Support: Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Receptionist 1

The Receptionist 1 is responsible for the front desk operations of a healthcare facility. The Receptionist 1 ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and supports the medical team with various administrative tasks. The Receptionist 1 is responsible for welcoming patients and offering administrative support within a physician practice or center. Greeting Patients: Welcome patients and visitors professionally, both in person and over the phone.

Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to optimize schedules.

Works in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.

Administrative Support: Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.

Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

High School Diploma or GED

• 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)

Bilingual in English and Spanish

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
