Registered Nurse RN PCU Telemetry Night Shift

Registered Nurse – PCU
Rotating 12-hour shifts, which may include days, nights, or a combination, depending on departmental needs.
This position focuses on a high-acuity progressive care unit with a mix of oncology and medical-surgical patients.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a progressive care unit (PCU).
Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
Experience with high-acuity PCU patients is required.
Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
Preferred: Previous travel nursing experience.
Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patient vital signs and telemetry.
Administer medications and treatments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Provide care for patients with complex medical conditions, including solid tumors and orthopedic oncology.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families about health management and disease processes.
Participate in infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives.
