TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Oncology RN in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70121!

Registered Nurse – Oncology
Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Coverage Required
Provide direct patient care to a hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant (BMT), and gynecologic and surgical oncology population
Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with float responsibilities as assigned
Operate and monitor Alaris IV pumps (Epic-integrated), barcode medication administration systems, SCD machines, and Alaris feeding pumps
Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
Participate in emergency response team duties as directed by unit management in the event of an emergency event
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology specialty
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification
Experience with BMT, acute leukemia, or gynecologic and surgical oncology patient populations
Work within a specialized oncology unit offering exposure to a diverse and complex patient population including BMT and acute leukemia
Orientation is provided onsite five days a week, with billable training modules completed during orientation hours
