As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates age-appropriate ICU nursing care, including interdisciplinary discharge planning, while demonstrating full unit-based competency.

Continuously monitors patient status, accurately documents nursing interventions and condition changes in the medical record, and escalates concerns through the chain of command.

Administers medications safely and accurately, complying strictly with hospital policies, federal regulations, and state laws regarding controlled substances.

Carries out medical orders safely, assists physicians with specialized examinations, diagnostic tests, and bedside procedures, and maintains rigorous infection control and universal precautions.

Respects patient privacy, protects confidentiality, honors diverse cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values, and coordinates comprehensive patient and family education with verified understanding.

Maintains professional licensure in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and actively participates in hospital performance improvement initiatives to elevate safety and clinical outcomes.

Certification Requirement: The successful candidate must possess an applicable certification recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center ANCC for Magnet-recognized organizations at the time of hire or obtain the required certification within one (1) year of employment
