Job Overview

RN‑Registered Nurse // ICU – Intensive Care Unit

Location: 920 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025 (licensed 457 beds, Level3 Trauma, Stroke Center of Excellence, Bariatric Center of Excellence, Chest Pain Center).

Contract: 13weeks, starts 7/13/2026, onsite.

Compensation: $1,246 weekly stipends, $504 weekly base pay, $14/hour.

Shift: Day Shift, 12hrs/day, 3days/week (0700‑1900). Weekend rotation every other week. Traveler’s permanent address must be 50miles outside the home unit.

Floating: Required across Region1 facilities (Cabarrus, UniversityCity, Stanly, LakeNorman, Central Division – CMCMain, Mercy, LCH peds). Floating mid‑shift is paid.

Holiday expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Parking: designated teammate parking. Scrub color: navy.

Responsibilities

Provide ICU nursing care for ventilated patients, stroke and thrombectomy patients, opti‑flow, Bipap, overdose patients, endotool, CRRT, GI bleeds, and some trauma patients.

Manage invasive lines (ART/CVP), ventilation, blood products, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and chest tubes.

Administer medications, including insulin, vasopressors, and sedation.

Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 with RN.

Perform phlebotomy and support RN duties.

Collaborate with CNA, charge nurse (24/7), RT, hospitalist, intensivist, and telemetry monitoring.

Assist with IV/VAT team responsibilities.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license.

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification.

Minimum 2years ICU experience.

Proficiency in EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pump, Omnicell medication dispensing, Phillips monitors, Arctic Sun, Hemosphere, Belmont rapid transfuser, and LifeFlow.

Ability to float within Region1 facilities and acceptable to float to all regional facilities within scope of practice.

Experience with first‑time travelers not required (position does not accept first‑time travelers).

Compensation & Benefits

Weekly stipend of $1,246 and weekly base pay of $504. In addition, travelers receive travel compensation for floating duties.
