Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually

Description: The Biostatistician III will assume a statistical lead within a team of statisticians to carry out all statistical tasks and responsibilities within a wide range of collaborative research studies, including clinical trials, varying from small phase 1 to large phase 3 studies across many different study designs and disease areas. A great degree of leadership and initiative is expected of the Biostatistician III.

Major duties and responsibilities:

Prepare statistical sections of proposals/protocols and contribute to overall study design

Prepare statistical analysis plans

Create programming specifications and mock Tables, Figures, and Listings

Produce interim and final statistical analysis reports

Participate in the authoring of manuscripts

Perform validation and peer review

Attend professional meetings and short courses to expand or maintain professional knowledge and expertise, and participate in informal seminars and training sessions within the organization

Assume a leadership role within Frontier Science or on specific projects to which the organization plays a major role. This may include:

Organize internal seminars or similar knowledge sharing sessions within the organization

Mentor junior or new hire statistical, epidemiological, or statistical programming staff at Frontier Science

Participate in scientific committees of major networks

Serve in a formal leadership capacity for Frontier Science

Reports to: Office Director

Required qualifications:

Master’s Degree in biostatistics, statistics, or closely related field

At least 20 years of experience as a Biostatistician, or similar position, along with a proven record of success

Experience with major statistical computing packages, such as SAS and R

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including scientific writing

Experience working with clinical trials research
