This role communicates with customers to ensure world class service is provided and always operates according to safety policies and procedures.Essential ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload product from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.Stage deliveries.Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning parking lot and entrance to building.Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.Ensure cleanliness of offices, bathrooms, warehouse floor, truck docks and aisles through mopping, sweeping, and washing.Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal area, and recycling materials.Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredProfessional Experience1+ Years general work experience preferred AndSkills ListStrong communication skills.KnowledgeGeneral warehouse operationsKnowledge of the equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspectionMicrosoft Office products (preferred)Physical DemandsWarehouse EnvironmentSitting frequentlyStanding frequentlyWalking frequentlyTalking frequentlyHearing frequentlyLift or move up to 100 poundsUsage of hands and fingersReaching with hands and armsStooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionallySight is required to ensure the safety of yourself and others.Under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks only as instructed, subject to regular check of performance.Excellent career growth opportunities through on-the-job training and development programs401(k) with employer matchingMental health and life resourcesMedical, dental, prescription, and vision plansGet paid on-demandBase pay or uncapped commissionEmployee discounts on Mattress Firm sleep products and accessoriesCompensation:Competitive pay range of $19.50 to $20.25*Actual pay is based on documented and verified relevant work experience and does not guarantee employment for any specific period.
