A leading employee-owned company in the construction sector is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join their team. The position offers the chance to work on diverse structural and miscellaneous steel projects, in a collaborative environment that values expertise, precision, and employee ownership.
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates for steel projects and presenting them to clients, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements. Success in this role means delivering precise estimates, supporting business growth, and contributing to the company’s reputation for reliability and quality. The Estimator will work closely with vendors, clients, and internal teams, including project management and operations.
Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing construction drawings, specifications, and related documents.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements for projects.
Obtain pricing from vendors for special items and materials.
Compute total project costs and resolve any discrepancies with vendors or clients.
Prepare reports summarizing trends, project deviations, and special analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
1-3+ years of experience as an Estimator or Project Manager in structural and miscellaneous steel construction.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and industry software; Exposure to larger-scale or complex steel projects.
