Estimator/contractor

Basic Purpose: RXL Inc is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator with a strong background in construction estimating—ideally with experience with Data Center Construction. This role is critical in developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive project proposals as our opportunities continue to grow in size and complexity.

Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates

Perform material takeoffs and quantify labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for complex scopes of work

Build and maintain pricing models using Epicor ERP systems and advanced Excel-based estimating templates

Prepare detailed, well-organized proposals for internal review and client submission

Collaborate with Project Executive and Project Managers to refine scope, execution strategy, and pricing assumptions

Identify cost drivers, project risks, and value-engineering opportunities during the estimating process

Manage and track bid opportunities using platforms such as BuildingConnected, Procore, and similar tools

Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor quotes for inclusion in proposals

Maintain and continuously improve estimating databases, historical cost data, and standardized templates

Ensure estimates align with current market conditions, material pricing, and labor trends

Support project handoff by clearly communicating assumptions, scope inclusions, and exclusions to operations teams

Qualifications 5-10+ years of estimating experience in construction, preferably with a General Contractor or Mechanical Contractor

Bilingual (preferred / as applicable to your workforce and clients)

Strong proficiency in: ERP systems (Epicor preferred or equivalent), Microsoft Excel Procore, Building Connected, and Microsoft Teams

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents

Strong analytical mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent organizational and document management skills

Effective communication and collaboration skills across estimating, operations, and leadership teams

Experience working in construction environments such as steel, fabrication, mechanical, or general contracting

Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
