As a Physical Therapist in this setting, you will evaluate and treat patients with primarily orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including post-surgical cases, sports injuries, and chronic pain diagnoses. Typical responsibilities include performing detailed initial evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, providing manual therapy and therapeutic exercise interventions, patient education, and coordination of care with referring providers. You will be expected to document thoroughly and efficiently in the clinic’s EMR system and monitor functional outcomes to guide clinical decision-making.
Caseloads commonly include adolescents through older adults, with opportunities to tailor your focus based on interest and experience, such as sports medicine, post-operative rehab, or return-to-work programming. Patient volumes are structured to support both productivity and quality of care, and scheduling models are designed to allow time for thorough evaluations and effective follow-up visits.
