As a Security Officer Shelter Access Control in BROOKLYN, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time
Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity entering and leaving the location.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervisors.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
