Shift 7P - 7A Employment Full Time with Benefits Up to $20,000 bonus to qualified RNs Requirements ED experience strongly preferred. RNs with more than 1 year acute care floor nursing required if no ED experience. Meet and maintain specialty requirements: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHH. Education: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN. Certifications and Licensure: RN License valid in Virginia. Responsibilities Assess and admit patients. Perform rounding checks. Administer medications. Communicate with patients and families. Provide overall care and coordination. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
